MGB Model Railroad Club vs MGBRR

The MGB Model Railroad Club is a non-profit group that was incorporated in 2006. The Club is located in a private home at the moment. The membership is open to the public. All equipment including the layout, trains, and electronics, belong to the Club.

The MGBRR or MGB Railroad is the world that exists on the permanent layout in the MGB Club. The MGBRR has characters, places, and things that can only exist in the world we create. It is this world where the Club gets its motto: "Where Life is Nothing but Fun!" Club members come to the Club to enjoy trains and model railroading. It's a hobby and as such we try to make every aspect fun. There are no discussions of work(our jobs), or real world problems and issues. Just MGBRR and how to have fun with the hobby.

In the MGBRR you will meet lots of people, Harold Ledbetter is one of those people. He is sort of the spokesperson for the MGBRR. He brings life to this hobby, so sit back, read and enjoy the Ledbetter's Ledger where you will learn much more about, Harold, MGBRR, and some of the MGB members.

My name is Harold Ledbetter. I haven't always lived next to a railroad, it just seems that way. Back in my younger days, I was just another hobo. Not a bum, mind you, just another guy who couldn't seem to stay put for very long. I tried a few times, but every time I did, I'd hear the lonesome whistle of a freight train. It was just in my blood or something. Next thing I knew, I'd be on that train heading for parts unknown. I loved the cinders in my hair, the clickety-clack of the wheels, the smell of the creosote from the ties - man what a life. Sure I lived from one meal to the next, but the sky was my ceiling and my bed was wherever I lay my head down for the night.
